Exploring Together: Creating Meaningful Connections through Guided Tours

Welcome to Guided Outdoor Adventures!

Guided Outdoor Adventures began with a simple belief: the outdoors should feel welcoming, not intimidating.

Founded by qualified outdoor professionals, Guided Outdoor Adventures was created to bridge the gap between people who want to get outside and the expertise needed to do it safely and confidently. Too many people told us they felt unsure where to go, what to wear, or whether they were “experienced enough”. We knew that with the right guidance, those barriers disappear.

What started as a small collection of guided walks quickly grew into a UK-wide platform connecting people with qualified mountain leaders and outdoor professionals, offering everything from gentle beginner walks to multi-day adventures.

Why We Exist

Guided Outdoor Adventuring CIC exists to close the Confidence Gap.

Across the UK, millions of people want to be more active, spend time outdoors, and feel part of something, yet never take the first step.

Not because they are incapable.
But because they don’t feel confident, safe, or supported enough to try.

We call this the Confidence Gap, the invisible barrier between wanting to get outside and feeling able to do it.

Guided Outdoor Adventuring CIC works with qualified outdoor leaders, community groups, and national funders including Sport England and the National Lottery Community Fund to deliver free and subsidised guided outdoor experiences that help people rebuild confidence, wellbeing, and a sense of belonging.

We believe no one should be excluded from the outdoors by fear, finances, or lack of access to professional guidance.

Guided Outdoor Adventuring CIC

Guided Outdoor Adventuring CIC delivers funded and community-focused outdoor programmes across the UK. These include:

  • Free and subsidised guided walks

  • Beginner and confidence-building outdoor experiences

  • Walks designed for over 50s and people returning to activity

  • Inclusive wellbeing programmes supported by grant funding

Every CIC activity is led by qualified, insured outdoor leaders and designed to feel supportive, welcoming and achievable,no prior experience required.

The CIC exists to ensure that cost, confidence or background should never be a reason someone misses out on the benefits of the outdoors.

What Our Mountain Leaders Say About Working With Us

We partner with fully qualified, insured and experienced outdoor leaders across the UK. Our focus is always on safety, professionalism and delivering high-quality guided walks, hikes and outdoor adventures.

“My bookings and enquiries have increased since working with Guided Outdoor Adventures — and many of them link straight back to Julia and the platform.”

This testimonial reflects what we aim to do every day:

support guides, increase their visibility, and help more people access the outdoors safely with trusted, qualified professionals.

We’re proud to champion responsible outdoor leadership and equally proud of the brilliant guides who make our adventures possible.

What We Do Today

Guided Outdoor Adventures now brings together:

  • A trusted booking platform for guided outdoor experiences

  • A growing network of qualified mountain leaders across the UK

  • Community programmes delivered through Guided Outdoor Adventuring CIC

  • Corporate and group wellbeing experiences rooted in nature

From the Peak District and Lake District to Snowdonia, Scotland and beyond, our walks and adventures are carefully designed to meet people where they are,  physically and emotionally.

Our Values

Everything we do is guided by a few simple principles:

  • Safety first – all experiences are led by qualified professionals

  • Inclusion – the outdoors is for everyone

  • Community impact – giving back is built into our model

  • Confidence through guidance – learning, not just walking

We don’t believe in ticking summits for the sake of it. We believe in meaningful experiences, shared moments and steady progress outdoors.

Looking Ahead

Guided Outdoor Adventures will continue to grow, but never at the expense of what matters.

By combining a professional guiding platform with a Community Interest Company, we’re building something that supports both adventure and access, both excellence and empathy.

Whether you’re joining a free community walk or booking your next big adventure, you’re part of a movement that believes the outdoors is better when it’s shared.
